Larry Gindhart is an experienced performer and arts educator. Gindhart holds a Ph.D. in Psychology and a diploma in Sound Healing. He is a member of the World Flute Society, the Indiana Flute Circle, the Sound Healers Association and the International Sound Therapy Association. Larry's career in psychotherapy, healing and the arts spans more than 30 years. He was a therapist in the Adult Psychiatry Outpatient Dept., Wishard Hospital at Indiana University Medical Center, Director of Youth and Family Counseling Services, Southside Youth Council, and a Senior Clinician at the Davis Psychiatric Clinic. During this time, he authored several professional journal articles and received the Milton H. Erickson Foundation Award for Scholarly Writing. After the Clinic he went into his own private practice where he specialized in therapeutic services to artists, musicians and other creatives. It was from here, in the mid1990s, that he transitioned into music, photography and the arts. Larry has practiced Ashtanga yoga for over 10 years. His Native flute music is frequently featured on the Dreaming Flute program broadcast on One World Music Radio.
