Karen Salicath Jamali is the Honorable Mention Winner of the American Protégé International Competition of Romantic Music 2018 
and will be playing at Carnegie Hall in New York 
the 15 of December 2018 
She will be playing her composition "Rainbow Angel” Her first concert ever. 

The Music story: 
It wasn't until an accident that caused a head injury that Karen started to play music. Previously unable to play the Piano, the head injury 
amazingly opened up a new world for Karen, she began to play beautiful and meditative music. 
The music will put the listener into relaxed state of consciousness. The accident that occurred in 2012 caused Karen to have a near-death experience. After a long recovery to 2015 she began to hear music all of the time, decided to record and play what she was experiencing. This music was healing her. 

The result is 6 beautiful Albums & 2000+ music compositions of piano music that is very emotional, relaxing, healing  and enchanting 
Karen is autodidact on the Piano and do not read notes, she an plays on a Steinway Gand piano. 

About Karen Salicath Jamali 
Karen Salicath Jamali is an Professional American Artist, Danish-born living and working in New York City. She graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Art, School of Design in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1991, and has been working as a painter, sculptor and photographer for the past 30 years. And now also as a composer and musician. She has participated in over 180 solo and group exhibitions throughout the world, including the Louvre Museum in Paris, Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Monreale, Italy, and Solo on the Kume Museum in Tokyo. 
In recognition of her outstanding artworks Ms. Jamali has received many international awards, including the 2017 Metropolitan Empire Prize New York, from Constanza Foundation in the World and the “Golden Palm Award 2016”, the “Academy Awards Oscar Award 2016” from Constanza Foundation World Directory of Artist in Italy, the “Raffaello Sanzio” Award, the “Beato Angelico” the “Nelson Mandela Prize”, “The International Human Rights Award 2016” from the Accademia Italia In Arte Nel Mondo Associatioen Culturale..” Other honors include  the “Shakespeare Award”, the “Botticelli Prize”, the “Leonardo da Vinci Price 2016”, and the “Michelangelo International Prize”, among many other. 
Her built works include several permanent public sculptures, and is represented in more than 700 private collections.
