Ronald Van Deurzen is a Dutch pianist, composer & music teacher. During his younger years he toured as a live folkband-pianist across the Benelux. He has also composed music for various film & documentary projects. Ronald writes New Age music with deep and contemplative moods interwoven with touches of classical, jazz and global fusion elements. His experiences from living in different countries can be heard through the music's varied instrumentation with a sound that is intimate and compassionate, yet empowering, in a similar style to that of Thomas Newman, David Arkenstone, George Winston and Keith Jarrett. Aside from having several New Age albums under his name, Ronald also played as a keyboardist on other albums such as the acclaimed ‘The Reverie Suite' folkrock album with guitar-virtuoso Hoyt Binder & harmonicist Tollak Ollestad (ex. Andrea Bocelli). Collectively, Ronald's piano playing has been heard on dozens of online and FM radio stations worldwide, while his orchestral arrangements were performed live in concert in Asia. Ronald was the winner of the OWMR Oneness Award 2020 for his piece 'Hopeful Bliss' representing hope for global harmony, peace and a oneness of heart. He also received a Bronze Medal at The Global Music Awards in 2021. Ronald is currently producing new music for his next New Age/world-fusion album.
