Jim Ottaway is an international award-winning Australian composer and musician recording original electronic instrumental music covering many genres including electronic, ambient, new age and space music. Since 2004 Jim has released over 25 independent albums in his homeland, Australia… commencing with his first release FIRST LIGHT, a light relaxing ambient album culminating in his new release YESTERDAY PASSING a light melodic electronic/contemporary instrumental album, officially released in May 2018. At the 14th annual Zone Music Reporter Awards held in New Orleans in May 2018 Jim received two awards for two of his albums: Best Electronic Album: TIMELESS e-MOTION and Best Ambient Album: DEEP SPACE BLUE. Jim was also nominated for Album of the Year for DEEP SPACE BLUE.
